SUPPORTING ERITREAN DAIRY COMMUNITIES
Working at Principle Brand Agency, Teagasc the Irish Agriculture and Food Development Authority approached us to design an identity for a unique initiative they were involved in. The ‘Climate-Smart Dairy Eritrea’ project, as it became known, promotes an inclusive, sustainable and climate-relevant transformation of the dairy industry in Eritrea. The initiative uses Irish agricultural expertise to help local northeast African Eritrean agricultural services - to promote resilience to climate change.
AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH & INNOVATION SUPPORT
We began with a focus on the name (which was previously a lengthy academic initialism) to simplify and clarify the organisation’s main goal of mitigating the harmful effects of greenhouse gas emissions through dairy farming. The members of ‘Climate-Smart Dairy: Eritrea’ work closely with Eritrean dairy farmers and dairy communities. It takes advantage of Ireland’s technical expertise in the field of dairy production and herd management to promote local Eritrean household food security and help reduce poverty. As the initiative centers on technical expertise, research and innovation, the design utilises a modern clean, contemporary look - highlighting this science-led and technological approach. The new identity amplifies the organisation as the voice of authority and advancement in Eritrean dairy innovation.
